Class Times
The classes are held on a Wednesday evening:
6:45 to 7:30 Puppy Class
7:30 to 8:15 Kennel Club Bronze Good Citizen Award
8:15 to 9:00 Kennel Club Silver Good Citizen Award
9:00 to 9:45 Kennel Club Gold+ Good Citizen Award
We break over the school summer holidays.

Puppy Class
This class is aimed at helping you puppy to socialize with other dogs and humans, and to teach you the fundamentals in caring and training your dog. The following topics are covered.
Cleanliness and Identification
Attentive Response to Name
Play With The Puppy
Socialisation
Handling and Inspection to Maintain Health
Puppy Recall
Basic Puppy Positions
Walking in a Controlled Manner
Stay for Approximately Ten Seconds

Kennel Club Good Citizen Award Scheme: Bronze Training Course
This award aims to produce a dog that will walk and sit in a controlled manner on the lead, will lie down on command, will allow its owner to clean and groom it and inspect it.
The dog must also be able to be positioned by its owner for examination ie: stand, sit, lie down on either side or on its back, all on a lead. Finally the dog must come to hand when called.
Kennel Club Good Citizen Award Scheme: Silver Training Course
This will teach you and your dog how to learn the following: walk on a lead, play with the dog, rejoin the handler, stay in one place, control in and out of the car, come away from distractions, greeting people without jumping up, food manners, examination of the dog and care and responsibility.
Kennel Club Good Citizen Award Scheme: Gold Training Course
The Gold Award is the highest level of Good Citizenship and builds upon the skills learned in the Silver Award.
The Gold Award is a natural progression of practical dog training skills and introduces new concepts such as Relaxed Isolation, Stop the Dog and Send the Dog to Bed exercises, which are important in everyday life situations.
The Gold Award aims to provide handlers with a greater knowledge of understanding their canine companion.
